Spendio is a strictly offline expense tracker that requires zero permissions to operate. Your data never leaves your device, and we have no access to your financial records or personal information.
Information We Collect
Spendio collects financial information that you manually enter into the app to help you track your spending. This includes:
- Transaction Details: Amount, transaction type (income or expense), and date.
- Categorization: The category you assign to each transaction (e.g., Food, Travel, Salary).
- Notes: Any optional text descriptions you add to your transactions.
- Preferences: Your selected currency symbol and display settings.
Local Storage & Data Processing
All data collected by Spendio is stored locally on your device using a secure on-device database (Room). We do not have servers, and we do not upload your financial data to the cloud.
Because your data is stored only on your device, if you delete the application or clear its data, all your recorded transactions will be permanently lost unless you have backed them up using system-level device backups.
No Permissions Required
Spendio is designed to respect your privacy fully. The application does not require or request any Android permissions to function. We do not access your contacts, location, camera, microphone, or any other sensitive device features.
Third-Party Services
Spendio does not use any third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or cloud services. There is no tracking code (such as Google Analytics or Firebase) integrated into the application.
Data Sharing
We do not share, sell, or rent your personal information to third parties. The only way your data can be shared is if you explicitly use the "Share App" or similar features to send information via other apps installed on your device (e.g., email, messaging apps).
Data Security
We rely on the security features of the Android operating system to protect the data stored on your device. We recommend using device-level security (such as a PIN, pattern, or biometric lock) to prevent unauthorized access to your financial records.
Children's Privacy
Spendio does not knowingly collect any personal information from children. Since all data remains on your device, we have no way of identifying the age of our users.
Your Rights
You have full control over your data. You can view, edit, or delete any transaction at any time within the application. To delete all data associated with the app, you can uninstall Spendio from your device.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Effective Date." We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
